There are 10 villages in Danei District: Huanhu Village, Toushe Village, Chuhsi Village, Erhsi Village, Shihu Village Shichun Village, Shilin Village, Neiguo Village, Neichiang Village, and Danei Village.
Feature description of each village
1. Huanhu Village
Most of the residents in this village are engaged in farming. Agricultural products are very rich, such as longan, mango, and pineapple. The residents are very hospitable.
2. Toushe Village
Siraya Pingpu tribe resides in Toushe Village, where the Pingpu tribein Danei Toushe holds Toushe Taizu Night Sacrifice to worship their ancestors. With the rite of sacrifice, the tribe has kept a leading role among the communities of Siraya Pingpu tribe in the region, which makes residents in Toushe quite proud of themselves. Toushe is rich in fruits, such as pineapple, pomelo, oranges, and big white grapefruit. Toushe is a community with public moral goodness.
3. Chuhsi Village
Chuhsi Village and Erhsi Village had been jointly referred to as Ertsunshi settlement in the Japanese colonial period before they were divided into two villages in 1950. The Nanying observatory is being vigorously built and expected to bring prosperity to this village in the future. Chuhsi Village is a typical agricultural community; the residents here basically live on planting such fruits as avocado and papaya.
4. Erhsi Village
Chuhsi Village and Erhsi Village had been jointly referred to as Ertsunshi settlement in the Japanese colonial period before they were divided into two villages in 1950. This village is also an agricultural settlement, with its main income from planting a lot of fruits, such as papaya, avocado, mango, longan, pineapple, and oranges,.
5. Shihu Village
Within the scope of Shihu Village, there is a military training center for the Army. Shitsailai Matsu Temple is the religious center for the villagers, where a patrol team was established to maintain security for the village, assist the police in patrol service, and ensure the peace and serenity of the community. Residents here mainly rely on agriculture, planting rich fruits all year round, such asmango, litchi, oranges, etc.
6. Shichun Village
There is a gas station in this village, which has the largest population in this district. The residents here are simple and pure.
7. Shilin Village
This village is a typical rural community. The residents here are pure and simple, mostly in the elderly group. A patrol team is here to maintain security for the village, assist the police in patrol service, and ensure the peace and serenity of the community.
8. Neiguo Village
There has been a serious outflow of population in this village; as a result, residents are mostly elderly people. Life here is based on farming, especially date palm, which is all called the “Asian Viagra.”
9. Neichiang Village
In this village, one can find the largest avocado production and distribution center of the country, as there are avocados of excellent quality here.
10. Danei Village
Danei Village is located in the center of the district, where there are the district administrative authorities and public service facilities, such as the district office, clinics, Taipower Company, telecommunications companies, Danei Elementary School, a retail market, etc. The population segments here are of the greatest multitude, and this village has the greatest potential for promising development in the future.
